Challenge
As new competitors emerged in the region, Marina del Sol, a boutique hotel in Busuanga, Palawan, sought to enhance its brand to remain competitive without losing its signature home-like atmosphere. In addition to refreshing their brand identity, Marina del Sol was also launching a new venture—a yacht club that would offer docking services for various boats in the picturesque bay, further expanding their offerings to guests and visitors.
Approach
The natural beauty of Busuanga Bay was a key source of inspiration for the rebranding, alongside the existing charm of the hotel's unique assets. The refined sans-serif typography introduced a sense of elegance and sophistication, signaling a step up in the brand's image. Complementing this, custom-designed illustrations of local flora and fauna added a personal, handcrafted touch, reinforcing the warmth and homey feel that has always been central to Marina del Sol’s identity. This balance of elevated design and artisanal elements allowed the brand to feel both sophisticated and approachable, perfectly aligned with the boutique hotel’s vision for growth.
