Challenge
In terms of individuality, Phin already is already set up for success. Being a Vietnamese Coffee house in Belfast,Ireland it already conceptually stands out amongst other Irish and European establishments. However how do we capture the attention of a European audience? how can they maintain loyalty to the brand and establishment.
Approach
After researching the history, coffee, and culture of both locations, I discovered a shared aesthetic in poster design. I was inspired by the vibrant, playful Vietnamese iconography and typography—especially from vintage posters—combined with the loose illustration style and minimal layouts of European design. The fusion of these elements creates a sense of harmony, balancing the distinct characteristics of both cultures.
