Challenge
Buxabee aimed to establish a user-friendly platform for stock trading in Asia, with a specific focus on the Philippine market. The objective was to empower users with greater control over their financial decisions. However, the initial branding of Buxabee felt outdated, overly corporate, and intimidating, which hindered its ability to connect with everyday users and present itself as an accessible financial tool.
Approach
To rebrand Buxabee, the focus was to create a design that resonated with the everyday Filipino. Using a human-centered approach, the goal was to transform the perception of stock investing—often seen as complex and intimidating—into something more approachable and inviting. The new branding featured a distinct color palette, setting Buxabee apart from other popular financial applications in the region. Additionally, I developed custom illustrations that visually represented the core values and purpose of the platform, aligning them with the refreshed brand identity and enhancing the overall user experience. The website design served as the primary digital touchpoint, providing a blueprint for the platform's implementation across various digital channels.
